According to the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, Suryakumar Yadav has risen one position to No. 2.
Babar Azam is only one slot and two rating points below Suryakumar. A position was also gained by him, having scored 110*, 8 and 36 in the ongoing seven-match T20I series against England.
Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 88*, 8 and 88 in those three games, remained at the top with a comfortable lead of 60 points over second-placed Suryakumar.
The seven-match series at home between Pakistan and England continues with three more T20Is, while India plays three more T20Is against South Africa. This gives all three batters the opportunity to improve their positions and, for Suryakumar and Babar, even move up the ladder.
After his Player-of-the-Series performance against Australia, Axar Patel jumped from 33rd to 18th in the bowler’s rankings. Axar collected eight wickets in three games while giving away only 6.30 runs per over during a series dominated by the bat.
